Pax Christi USA offers their deepest sympathy and concern for the senseless mass shooting tragedy which occurred early this morning in Orlando, Florida. This shooting directed towards the gay, lesbian and trans-gendered community which resulted in injury and massive deaths, is of grave concern to Pax Christi USA.
Once again we are confronted with the need for public policy regarding sensible gun control. No amount of bigotry, fear, anger or hatred ever justifies the senseless taking of lives.
During this time of sorrow, may we take the opportunity to share with our young people that all lives are important and that all people matter since we are all made in the image of a good and loving Creator.
