romerocaseEach week, since so many of us are under “stay at home” orders, self-quarantined, on lockdown, and otherwise homebound during this pandemic, Pax Christi USA will recommend a “movie of the week” for us to watch and discuss in solidarity, alone-together, no matter where we are. We’ll try and set up additional events for people to share their reactions and thoughts to the movie.

This week, in recognition of the 40th anniversary of the martyrdom of Archbishop Oscar Romero, we’re recommending “Romero” starring Raul Julia. It’s available on Amazon Prime (free if you’re a Prime member, otherwise for rental) and free on Tubi.

Check off that you’re “going” on our event page on Facebook by clicking here.

Stay tuned for a new movie next week and feel free to make your own recommendations in the comments section here!

  1. I recommend the movie” Salvador” based on a true story. Staring James Woods, Jim Belushi, Michael Murphy ,Cindy Gibb and John Savage. Rated R, My personal opinion is that it conveys the political, economic and social mess that prevailed in El Salvador in 1980. Not for the prudish but a truly real life and deeply and humanly spiritual. Don Cuddihee, Sr.
