Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore wrote a pastoral reflection about how embracing the nonviolent teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a solution to many of our social ills.

Lori explicitly calls out racism and offers way to revive hope including “six steps for nonviolent change. He says, “Indeed, the sin of racism has tarnished the soul of our society for so long that racist attitudes can be deeply embedded in our  subconscious, such that we may hardly know they are there.”

Pax Christi USA is excited to see a Catholic bishop make such a strong statement and case for racial equality and peace.
