Pax Christi USA mourns the loss of Charles Liteky who was welcomed into God’s full embrace on January 20, 2017. He was pre-deceased by his wife Judith who, like Charlie, lived nonviolence and peace.

Charlie’s heroic actions in Viet Nam, his love for the people and their struggles in Nicaragua and El Salvador, along with the quest to close the School of the Americas showed us that Charlie lived what he believed.

May we all draw inspiration from a life lived to the fullest.

Sr. Patricia Chappell, SNDdeN
Executive Director
Pax Christi USA
