BOOKKEEPER: Pax Christi USA, located in Washington, D.C., has an opening for a Bookkeeper. Pax Christi USA is a national non-profit organization that strives to create a world that reflects the Peace of Christ by exploring, articulating, and witnessing to the call of Christian nonviolence. PCUSA advocates primacy of conscience, economic and social justice, and respect for creation.

Bookkeeper’s responsibilities include bill payment, taxes, bank reconciliations, payroll support and tracking all income, expenses, and bank transactions in QuickBooks. Ideal candidate will have an accounting degree and 5 years of experience. QuickBooks expertise, knowledge of Excel and accounting skills are required. OFFICE MANAGER: Pax Christi USA, located in Washington, D.C., has an opening for an Office Manager. Pax Christi USA is a national non-profit organization that strives to create a world that reflects the Peace of Christ by exploring, articulating, and witnessing to the call of Christian nonviolence. Office Manager will be responsible for the administrative and organizational management of the National Office, as well as support National Council and all PCUSA members. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks, will be exceedingly well organized and flexible, and supporting a small office of diverse people and programs. Candidate will assist Bookkeeper with various accounts payable/receivable processing and other basic accounting functions. Candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Raiser’s Edge database; developing queries, reports, and lists; processing of member donations, payments, and related activities; and communicating with PCUSA members and supporters.

Experience with using Raiser’s Edge, InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a plus.  Candidate needs to have strong professional skills, including ability to prioritize, problem-solving, verbal and written communication.
