Pax Christi InternationalIn December 2011, the Executive Committee of Pax Christi International accepted two new member organisations of its international Pax Christi network: (1) Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Desk – The Association of Major Religious Superiors in Taiwan (JPIC-AMRS Taiwan); and (2) El Servicio Paz y Justicia, Serpaj – Chile. That brings the total to 104 member organisations in Pax Christi International.

1.     JPIC began in 1994 as a branch of the Major Religious Superiors in Taiwan, which is comprised of 100 religious congregations of men and women. Pax Christi International has a long relationship with JPIC-AMRS Taiwan through the organisation’s coordinator, Willy Ollevier, CICM. 2.     Serpaj-Chile is a civil society organisation for justice, solidarity, democracy and peace, inspired by the movements of Gandhi and Martin Luther King. Since its beginnings in 1974, Serpaj has grown to include a regional membership in 11 Latin American countries. It has a long association with Pax Christi International. Current programme priorities are: struggle against drugs traffic, rights of children, human rights, disarmament. Website is http://www.serpajchile.cl
