2025

  • Summer 2025 – Pax Christi members fast for Gaza. Charlene Howard attends international grassroots gathering for climate justice in Rome. Scott Wright reflects on maintaining defiant hope in challenging times. Updates from PCYAC and local/state/regional groups, plus a note about Pope Leo XIV’s words on nonviolence, and an update on the upcoming national conference. Also included: A PSA insert on the current crisis in democracy.
  • Spring 2025 – Executive Director Charlene Howard offers a year-in-review from 2024. Ambassador of Peace Tom Cordaro shares his thoughts about the current political landscape. Updates from PCYAC and local/state/regional groups, plus an Easter reflection from Ralph McCloud.

2024

  • Winter 2024 – The Pax Christi USA anti-racism team was reinvigorated with new members; Bishop Stowe offers a reflection on what we are called to do after the recent election. The hibakusha receive the Nobel peace prize. PCART member Tiffany Hunsinger offers a book review of Nevertheless, We Persist, and Pax Christi USA Ambassador of Peace Joe Fahey publishes a book about John XXIII and the call for global governance. Pax Christi USA was present at a symposium on Black Catholic culture and liturgy and at the 2024 Ignatian Family Teach-in. Plus local/state/regional updates.
  • Autumn 2024 – Welcome Charlene Howard as our new executive director and Daniel Francis as our new development director! Read Bishop Stowe’s homily from the national conference, and find out more about PCYAC’s activities and local group updates. Plus, Pax Christi Korea’s Anselmo Lee visited the Washington DC office. And we have a special report from PCYAC’s August retreat.
  • Summer 2024 – Johnny Zokovitch shares his last letter to membership as executive director. Pax Christi USA receives Dorothy Day Peacemaker award; Mary Catherine Bunting is named the 2024 Pax Christi USA Teacher of Peace, and Ralph McCloud receives the Eileen Egan award. Pax Christi USA endorses a statement from U.S. Catholics calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. Michael Martin reviews David Cochran’s latest book, and much more, including a reissue of the prayer card for the U.S. elections and a Prayer-Study-Action on RECA legislation.
  • Spring 2024 – Our 2023 Year-in-Review; updates from PCYAC and local-regional groups; the Bread Not Stones bishops’ statement; and an Easter reflection from Frida Berrigan, plus a Prayer-Study-Action insert on the call for a ceasefire in Gaza and a copy of the redesigned Muslim-Jewish-Christian peace prayer card.
