In 2021, the Pax Christi USA National Council committed the movement to a three-year cycle for national gatherings, with an online, virtual national conference in Year One; an in-person national conference in Year Two; and a wild-card national gathering of key movement constituencies in Year Three (last year was our National Anti-Racism Summit). We held our first virtual national conference in 2021 and we’re excited to announce that we’ll be holding our second virtual national conference this year, September 6-7, 2024.

Save-the-Date! The Pax Christi USA (Virtual) National Conference will be Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7, with possible pre-events happening the Thursday prior to our conference. We’re excited to announce that our conference title is “We Are One Body: Being a Prophetic Church in a Time of Polarization and Conflict.” Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv, Bishop-President of Pax Christi USA, will the celebrant and homilist for our closing Mass, and we’ll introduce the larger Pax Christi USA community to our new Executive Director at the conference. Our two days together will include community prayers, a keynote speaker, workshops, panel discussions, recognition of this year’s Teacher of Peace Award recipient, and an announcement of the site of our 2025 in-person conference.

We’ll be announcing more details in the coming weeks and opening registration soon! For now, please save-the-date, September 6-7, 2024, in your calendars and plan on joining us from wherever you are!

We’re thrilled to gather the Pax Christi USA family, our partners and friends together in this special way and we hope you can join us!

  1. I have saved the date. The topic is not only relevant, but critical. Thank you.
