Join us on Thursday, September 21, 8 PM Eastern, for our quarterly PAX Mass, celebrated on the International Day of Peace and the first day of the Catholic Nonviolence Days of Action.

Our celebrant will be Fr. Joe Mattern, founder of the Casa Esther Catholic Worker in Omro, Wisconsin. Fr. Joe will use the Eucharist of Gospel Nonviolence, a resource created by the Working Group on Gospel Nonviolence for the Association of United States Catholic Priests (AUSCP).

  1. Wonderful! Fr. Joe Mattern is taking a step toward freedom, the freedom of the people of God to reclaim the Eucharist as the sacrament of nonviolence par excellence. The words of the prayer he will use follow the pattern of the second prayer for reconciliation but take it a step further. May the body of Christ be moved by the Spirit as we step out in faith with it.
