On behalf of Pax Christi USA’s National Council, please join me in congratulating Sister Patty Chappell for being elected to the leadership team of the East-West unit of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. As such, she will be resigning as PCUSA’s executive director effective May 31. We thank Sr. Patty for her nearly nine years of dynamic leadership.

Sister Patty’s deep commitment and passion will be sorely missed. But the many gifts she has brought to Pax Christi USA have made us stronger as an organization, and we are excited to keep building on the good work she has accomplished.

The National Council has begun the search process for a new executive director and will post the position announcement to our website soon. For now, we invite you to extend your own congratulations and gratitude to Sr. Patty as she transitions from Pax Christi USA to congregational leadership.

In Christ’s peace,
Robert Shine
National Council Chair
