from Pax Christi International

Pax Christi InternationalPax Christi International issued a statement on Iran, 22 March 2012, in which the international peace movement and network clearly and unequivocally rejects the possibility of military action against Iran as immoral, highly dangerous and counter-productive. All countries have a responsibility to encourage definitive movement toward a Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone in the Middle East, as well as a treaty banning nuclear weapons.

  1. Thank God, Pax Christi speaks with a voice of sanity and moral authority against the rush to war. The propaganda build-up against Iran is so similar to that against Iraq before the second Gulf War. We also need to ask ourselves who stand to gain, and to gain what, from war against Iran. It is necessary to put the spotlight on the motives behind the push for a new war.
