Pray in and procession for peace
April 17 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm EDT
Meet at entrance to Capitol East Plaza, First Street, NE and East Capitol Street. Procession will end at the Methodist Building, 100 Maryland Avenue NE
As people of faith who believe that God commands us not to kill and wage war, and Christians who are committed to following Jesus’ way of active nonviolence, we:
* Call for a permanent ceasefire in Iran, Lebanon and Gaza
* Demand an end to US weapons sales to Israel
* Support conscientious objection for US soldiers for this immoral war
* Reject the proposed $1.5 trillion military budget for FY 2027
* Challenge the religious justification for a Holy War in Iran as heretical and an affront to God

Peace, Freedom, Abundance, Life affirmation via education on doing substantial community supports. Saw Robert Shriver and Rev. Elizabeth Theoharis talking about life saving poverty alleviations and how much some institutions did not want to do that. We found that from a long term systems cost benefit perspective, it was cheaper to house, feed, and care for people than not to do so. And neighborhood supportive hospitality houses are a great way to achieve the above goals in our communities. God Bless you, Lyle Courtsal my ebook on the drug war is available on cd for $10.
