All members of the Pax Christi USA community are invited to join us for the Pax Christi USA Community weekly Advent prayer service, Mondays, 8:30-9pm ET, on Dec. 1, 8, 15, and 22. Join with members of the Pax Christi USA family from around the nation for a short evening prayer service with readings, reflections, the lighting of the Advent candles, and more.
The prayer service will be less than 30 minutes, help connect us across the miles, and focus us on the promise of Advent, Jesus, our Emmanuel, our “God-with-us”, coming with the promise of liberation and peace.

Programs and videos from each week:
- December 1, first week of Advent — Offered by the Pax Christi USA nonviolence working group
- December 8, second week of Advent — Offered by the Pax Christi USA indigenous solidarity working group
- December 15, third week of Advent — Offered by the Pax Christi USA Anti-Racism Team
- December 22, fourth week of Advent — Offered by the Pax Christi USA immigration working group and the Pax Christi USA Young Adult Caucus
The schedule for each evening will include:
- Welcome
- Lighting of candles on the Advent wreath
- Scriptural readings from one of the upcoming days of the current Advent week
- An Advent reflection
- Prayers of the faithful
- Closing prayer
- (Optional) Breakout rooms for discussion and sharing immediately following the prayer service for those who would like to stay on

What time does the programs prior the program start ?
Hi Mary Ann, we don’t have a program before the Advent prayer service — the prayer service begins at 8:30 PM Eastern/7:30 PM Central.
