What do we do now that, with the second Trump administration, we have avowed Christian nationalists in the highest places in our government? Join NETWORK’s Joan Neal, Dr. Robert Jones from the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), and Pax Christi USA’s 2021 Teacher of Peace Fr. Bryan Massingale who will discuss how our Christian faith calls us to resist fascism, join in solidarity with our neighbors, and build An Economy for All, where all of us can thrive.
First, we must put our lived faith in the hands of the Almighty, trusting in God’s love and providential care.
Secondly, we much continue to live our faith which is to live love towards all others without condemnation or judgments, without excluding any and in such a manner as to demonstrate our faith as we follow the “two greatest commandments” of our faith.
Finally, our lives must be “lives of prayer” so that we live in constant communion with God throughout our lives.
Becoming angry, frightened and confrontational will not solve or resolve any of the present issues or problem that we are seeing. In fact, acting in such a manner will only serve to make matters worse rather than better.
Return a blessing for those who curse and attack you so as to “love our enemies”.
