This summer, Pax Christi USA is happy to welcome Camila Pérez and Fernanda Avendaño-Gomez as our summer fellow and intern, respectively.
Both Camila and Fern are students at Trinity Washington University, which is located just down the street from the Pax Christi USA national office. They will work with us until early August.

Camila is a rising senior at Trinity, majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration is foreign policy, diplomacy and security with a minor in Latin America development studies. Among her many interests, she has a deep passion for advocacy and policy, more specifically for advancing and improving the rights of undocumented students in the United States. As a first generation, undocumented Latina in the U.S. navigating through challenges in higher education, she hopes to be an advocate and source of help to the immigrant community and to create meaningful relationships with Pax Christi members and most importantly, to grow her faith in Christ.

Fernanda is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration on global business and sustainability. After having transferred from the Savannah College of Art and Design to Trinity, Fernanda has picked up and developed many skills along the way that include branding/logo development, communication skills, business admin/management skills, and even fine art skills! In her free time she enjoys reading, painting, tennis, soccer and journaling. Fernanda looks forward to use her skills in collaboration with the wonderful people of Pax Christi USA and to create meaningful relationships.
