Veterans for Peace (VFP) has published a detailed 11-page letter to senior State Department officials and to State Department employees in both the U.S. and abroad, informing them that they are aiding and abetting the genocide in Gaza. The letter was researched and designed by attorney Terry Lodge and reviewed by a team of international lawyers.

Jack Gilroy is one who always works for solidarity in acts of truth-telling and justice. This is a time for us ALL to be “all-in” about our nation’s duty to seek justice for Palestinians. Until there is hope for Palestinians, long denied their land-rights and dignity, there will be no peace for the families of bereft Jewish victims of the Holocaust. The U.S.A. cannot continue to fund Israel’s military repression in both the West Bank and Gaza and cannot continue to accommodate Jewish settlements in territory the U.N. designated for a Palestinian homeland. Claiming the intention of evenhandedness, U.S. policy and funding has reinforced profound injustice. Now, immediately, right this moment is the time to correct that!

USA is complicit in this genocide as long as we continue to supply weapons and money to Israel for this destruction of Gaza and its people, who are also made in God’s image and likeness. I am not opposed to supporting Israel’s right to exist but I can not condone the current use of their power, supported by our national power.
The State Department is failing to limit transfers of major weapons and ammunition packages to Israel, knowing that massacres, mass punishment, starvation and genocide are the direct result of arming the IDF. The State Department’s permissiveness very likely amounts to serious criminal wrongdoing. Please help VFP deliver that message. There are lives in the balance.
It is sad to see our government so blindly support the killing of Palestinians
and destroy their hospitals
and keep them from food and water
Try to aid as many people as possible who hope for normal life instead of being under constant threat of sudden death from weapons of war.
U.S complicity in Israel’s crime of murdering and starving children and civilians makes our government accountable. Dear VFP and Pax Christi
I cannot thank you enough for your steadfast support for the suffering of the people of Gaza at the hands of the US Israel axis. The death and destruction that has and continues to take place without the green light from the democratic administration of Genocide Joe fka Scranton Joe. I hand my head in shame at their tone deafness to the cries
Of the women and children. And I salute the rising up of young people, old people
And unions who cry out loudly Not In Our Name
We need address the root causes of the conflict and working towards a just and sustainable solution is essential for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
Our nation’s complicity in the butchery of Palestinians by the Israeli government and its overwhelming military force is perfectly clear. It echoes our own slaughter of millions of Vietnamese, Laotians and Cambodians, and more recently the slaughter of more than 600,000 to a million Iraqi civilians. It is about revenge, it’s about blind support of Israeli manifest destiny. But it is simply this: Biden is aiding and abetting genocide. As a Catholic he is committing a mortal sin. Jesus warned of the particular consequences of harming children, though the Palestinian children dead and dying will soon reach 20,000. And we are complicit in this massacre of innocents.
The United States is complicit in the ongoing apartheid in Palestine/Israel and in the genocide in Gaza. I call on our government to recognize its role and immediately stop sending military funding to Israel, to demand a permanent ceasefire, restore funding to UNRWA and support with integrity Palestinian statehood.
As a senior citizen who has paid taxes and voted my whole life, (I actually started paying taxes when I had a job at fifteen years old!), I am appalled at the genocide the US is paying for and refusing to stop! I am ashamed and outraged. Stop the genocide NOW, and stop spending our tax dollars on weapons of death.
How fitting that the US never admitting to its crimes of genocide on this land against the Indigenous Peoples of what we now call the USA, is aiding a client settler colonial state, Israel, complete its genocide against the Indigenous Palestinian People.
