This documentary is based on the work of Pax Christi International and its members in the Great Lakes region of Africa over the past four years.

Pax Christi International is pleased to announce the launch of a 30-minute documentary entitled Empowering new generations: Active nonviolence in the Great Lakes.

Pax Christi’s network in BurundiDRCongo, and Rwanda has been training young people, as well as religious sisters, in active nonviolence and peace-building. A profound personal transformation has taken place among the trainees, which in turn has affected their whole communities.

This documentary brings together the testimonies of the trainers, youth, and religious sisters. It shows the power of active nonviolence and the impact of Pax Christi’s work in the region. By sharing these stories, Pax Christi aims to inspire more and more people to adopt nonviolence as a way of life.

The documentary, in French with English subtitles, is available on the Pax Christi International YouTube channel.
