  1. We are hypocrites. A Monroe Doctrine for us but we won’t let Russia keep enemies off its doorstep. Our lethal arms manufacturers are celebrating the coming of war and we are encouraging the Ukrainians to enter a death trap.
God bless Tulsi Gabbard who is the only politician who tells us that we could have avoided this by not putting the Russian bear into a corner.

  2. The very reason why former Soviet republics joined NATO is because they feared Russia, and their fears have been confirmed by its actions in Georgia as well as in Ukraine. Ukraine refused to negotiate with separatists who, with Russia’s backing, have unilaterally and violently seceded from the country to join Russia. Ukraine offered autonomy- a reasonable compromise- but they refused. Putin hates NATO and demands that the West not come to Ukraine’s aid since that would interfere with his imperialist ambitions. Let these peace protesters travel to Ukrainian cities and villages to see for themselves the death and destruction Putin has caused, which he started by invading the country. It’s easy to protest hundreds let alone thousands of miles away from the battlefront, in democratic countries. Putin is untrustworthy and will only dictate terms, not negotiate.
