In observation of Black History Month, each Thursday throughout February, we’ll be featuring a special resource from folks in the Pax Christi USA community and our partners who are leading the work for racial justice and racial equity.
Below is a video presentation by Dr. Vicki Vernon Lott, Pax Christi USA National Council member and Pax Christi USA Anti-Racism Team member given last month on “The Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.”
Vicki also serves as co-chair of the social justice ministry at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Austin, TX. She is a trained facilitator of Racial Sobriety and is also a Racial Equity Consultant with Joyce James Consulting. Vicki is retired from a 32-year career in higher education administration at five historically black colleges and universities. She is passionate about addressing institutional racism in all of our systems. Since leaving academia, she has also worked as a trained advocate at the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
