In the Archdiocese of Chicago:
- Prayer service with Archbishop Blaise Cupich at 7 pm on Jan. 6th at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
The Archdiocese of Minneapolis will have immigration forum at 7 pm on Jan. 8th at Guardian Angels Catholic Church.
Staff in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles are working with Catholic Charities on an event for Jan. 10th. Some parishes are celebrating Masses and may be planning events during the week.
On Jan. 10th at 4 pm, Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington, D.C., will host Sr. Norma Pimentel, the Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley. She will describe the origins of the Humanitarian Respite Center at Sacred Heart Church (McAllen, TX) and the response to the recent influx of Central American refugees seeking asylum in the United States.
Not during National Migration Week, but the Diocese of Phoenix we will be holding a Mass for Migrants who have died crossing the Sonoran Desert on Feb. 20th in downtown Phoenix.
