From Pax Christi Michigan

The ten-day Moveable Peace 2011 Peace Walk from Detroit to Lansing begins this SATURDAY, July 30 at CENTRAL METHODIST CHURCH where we will gather for a sendoff at 9 AM before walking at 10.
From Ferndale to Fowlerville, from Detroit to Downtown Brighton, there are great activities and events planned in conjunction with the Peace Walk, including a very important event on the federal budget being held this Sunday, July 31 at First United Methodist of Farmington and a Peace gathering and concert at Mill Pond in Brighton on Tuesday, Aug. 2 (details below).

We have attached a flyer that outlines the scheduled events that will occur along Grand River as we walk to the Capitol where we will join people from around the state in presenting petitions to elected officials calling for a State Commission for Peace and Justice. Please post this info on your Facebook pages and share with your friends and families.

We are hoping that you join us in one or several of the scheduled events and that you join us for a mile or two of the Peace Walk, especially in Detroit on July 30 and in Lansing on August 9th.

Please contact us (313-520-7465) if you have questions about the Peace Walk or any of the Peace Walk events and keep up by visiting the Moveable Peace website: www.moveablepeace.org.
