Pax Christi Metro DC-Baltimore Peacemaker of the Year celebration

Join Pax Christi Metro DC-Baltimore for their 16th annual Peacemaker of the Year celebration, honoring Susan Gunn, director of the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns (MOGC).
Susan is a prominent figure in Catholic peace advocacy, with a strong focus on just peace, care for the poor, environmental stewardship, and gospel nonviolence. As director of the MOGC, she leads the Office’s commitment to the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative. She is a dedicated human rights advocate, championing causes like Guantanamo inmates and migrant rights, often participating in civil disobedience actions.
Susan recently returned from a human rights mission in the Philippines and has shared her experiences in conferences and webinars. She has spoken at Fire Drill Friday climate rallies alongside Jane Fonda and has accompanied refugees in meetings with Congress members
Her visionary leadership empowers her team to prioritize listening to affected voices, challenging prevailing policy narratives, and advocating for nonviolence, racial equity, economic justice, human rights, and environmental sustainability.
The Peacemaker of the Year celebration will start with dinner, followed by the award ceremony. All are welcome!
