Hope away from home in South Sudan

The Friends in Solidarity (FiS) webinar will feature Maryknoll missioner Fr. Mike Bassano, plus pre-recorded messages from Fr. Tom Tiscornia, MM, former Solidarity with South Sudan member and FiS board member, and Fr. David Schwinghamer, MM, former board member of the Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN).
Fr. Bassano recently finished 10 years of pastoral ministry at the UN Protection of Civilians camp in Malakal, South Sudan. Prior to his time in South Sudan, he also ministered in Chile, Thailand, and Tanzania.

Take action
Many thousands of refugees from the current war in Sudan are seeking refuge in South Sudan. Numbers are expected to rise as fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces deepens in Darfur and spreads across Sudan. Over 6 million people have been forcibly displaced within Sudan and across borders into neighboring countries.
