Confronting Christian Nationalism: A presentation with theologian Alex Mikulich

October 18 @ 8:00 pm 9:00 pm EDT

Christian nationalism continues to rise through the ranks of the U.S. Catholic Church, and Catholics are becoming increasingly exposed to Christian nationalist ideas and policies in their parishes and news sources. This belief system is rooted in white supremacy and promotes a narrow, warped understanding of Christian theology.

A social ethicist, Alex Mikulich will present on the dangers of Christian nationalism and the ways in which Catholics can combat these ideologies. Mikulich is the author of Unlearning White Supremacy: A Spirituality for Racial Liberation (2022, Orbis Books). He frequently speaks on issues of anti-Black white supremacy and anti-racism from a Catholic perspective.

A $5 registration fee is required for this event. This event will be recorded; you will need to register in advance to receive both the Zoom link and the recording.
