You are probably aware of the ongoing resistance and solidarity movement outside the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark. You may not be aware that faithful Catholics including members of Pax Christi New Jersey have been active outside Delaney Hall providing care as a form of resistance for over a year.

Panelists will share about the activities there at Delaney and discuss the support work as a nonviolent witness to the country’s inhumane and racist carceral system.
We hope participants will learn how that broken system is traumatizing our neighbors and how we are called as Catholics/people of faith to resist it and to model a different way of being community.
