July 16: Pax Christi Korea hosts webinar on anniversary of Trinity nuclear test – “80 years is enough”

All are invited to join a webinar to be held on Wednesday, July 16 — the 80th anniversary of the Trinity atomic bomb test in New Mexico — offered by Pax Christi Korea as part of the Catholic Peace Forum (CPF).

This event will include the virtual launching of the Pax Jubilee 2025 Declaration – “80 Years Is Enough,” an Asia-Pacific regional call for peace and nuclear disarmament.

The Declaration has been prepared as a way of living as Pilgrims of Hope in the Jubilee Year 2025 and commemorating the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, to raise awareness and mobilize Catholics, especially bishops, organizations and young people in the Asia-Pacific region free of nuclear weapons. The Declaration, together with the list of signatories, will be presented at the memorial services in Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 2025.

Pax Christi USA’s Executive Director Charlene Howard will be one of the panelists on the July 16 webinar.

Time: 7 AM Eastern / 4 AM Pacific
