This Advent season, as we recognize that the Patriarch of Jerusalem has asked us to curtail excessive celebration in light of the horrific suffering in Gaza and the ongoing trauma in the West Bank, Pax Christi USA invites you to send a Christmas card to our senior elected officials. The card urges the U.S. to do more to support a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and a just peace for the Holy Land.
Take these steps to participate in this Advent project for peace:
- Use this link to download the printable Christmas advocacy card.
- Print three copies of this Christmas card on regular 8.5×11 paper (in color or b/w)
- Fold the card in quarters along the dotted lines (in half from top to bottom with picture on
the exterior, then in half again so the printed message is on the inside of the card) - Sign with your name, address (to show the recipient you are a constituent), and any
personal message you’d like to add. - Mail one copy to President Joseph Biden, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington,
DC 20500. - Mail one copy to each of your state’s two senators. Use this link to find your home state
in the dropdown box to find your senators’ mailing addresses.
We encourage you to print and send these as soon as possible because physical mail to
government offices takes a few extra days to be processed. Please also share this action with your friends and networks.
