All members of the Pax Christi USA community are invited to join us for the Pax Christi USA Community Weekly Advent Prayer Service, Mondays, 8:30-9pm ET, on Nov. 28, Dec. 5, 12, and 19. Join with members of the Pax Christi USA family from around the nation for a short evening prayer service with readings from this year’s Advent-Christmas reflection booklet, the lighting of the Advent candles, and more.
The prayer service will be less than 30 minutes, help connect us across the miles (even as we still struggle with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic), and focus us on the promise of Advent, Jesus, our Emmanuel, our “God-with-us”, coming with the promise of liberation and peace.

The schedule for each evening will include:
- Welcome
- Opening song
- Lighting of candles on the Advent wreath
- Scriptural readings from one of the upcoming days of the current Advent week
- A reflection from this year’s Advent-Christmas reflection booklet
- Prayers of the faithful
- Closing prayer
- (Optional) Breakout rooms for discussion and sharing immediately following the prayer service for those who would like to stay on
We hope to be joined each week by the authors of this year’s reflection booklet during the weeks for which they wrote, as well as other special guests. Gather (virtually!) on the call with your families, loved ones, local groups! All are welcome!
