All members of the Pax Christi USA family are invited to join us for the Pax Christi USA Community Weekly Advent Service, tonight, Monday, December 7th, from, 8:30-9pm ET. We’ll also gather on Dec. 14 and 21. Join with members of the Pax Christi USA family from around the nation for a short prayer service with readings from our Advent-Christmas reflection booklet, the lighting of the Advent candles, and more.
The prayer service will be less than 30 minutes and serve as one way to help us all feel more connected during this time of pandemic isolation and social distancing, as well as to help us focus on our own participating in being the peace of Christ in a world shattered by violence, suffering and greed.

The schedule for each evening will include:
- Welcome
- Opening song
- Lighting of candles on the Advent wreath
- Scriptural readings from one of the upcoming days of the current Advent week
- A reflection from this year’s Advent-Christmas reflection booklet
- Prayers of the faithful
- Closing prayer
- (Optional) Breakout rooms for discussion and sharing immediately following the prayer service for those who would like to stay on
This week, Amy Finn-Schultz, one of the authors of this year’s reflection booklet, will join us to share and discuss the readings and reflections for Tuesday of this 2nd week of Advent, Dec. 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
