Back from the Brink is a grassroots effort to stop the existence and proliferation of nuclear weapons by getting anti-nuclear resolutions passed at the local (municipality, state, etc.) level.
Pax Christi USA has signed on to promoting Back from the Brink, because we believe that nuclear weapons pose an existential threat to humanity. Not only because of their violent destruction to creation and humanity, but also because of the hundreds of millions of of tax dollars that are thrown away into their construction and maintenance.
