Pax Christi USA applauds the commitment and courage of over 1 million students in the US who walked out of schools yesterday and who nonviolently demonstrated for an end to gun violence and to demand stricter gun laws.  We commend the school systems who supported such an action and most especially the faculty and staff of the schools who stood in solidarity with the young people in their action for justice.

In this spirit, we look forward to participating in the March for Our Lives on March 24.

  1. As a “many years” member of Pax Christi Michigan, I applaud the support of PCInt’l and give prayerful thanks
to the many, many students and administrations that stood with their students…to all, “keep on keeping on”
    and God Bless.

  2. Right on! These young people are our future and our hope for a more peaceful country and world. We owe them all the support we can give.

  3. Thanks Rachel for supporting our highschool students in this way. I am forwarding it to our sudents pleanner at Holy NAmes High School, Oakland CA

  4. These courageous students are messengers of hope to all of us. Let us support them in their peaceful actions.

    1. I doubt if VA St. Joes, my high school participated either and thats a good thing. It is a shame that the poor kids across the country that did not want to participate in this left wing demonstration were forced to be there by coercion and intimidation. It should be a crime to use school kids as pawns in an anti-2nd amendment cause. Its as bad as antifa violently shutting down the first amendment.

  5. THANK YOU FOR STANDING TOGETHER TO DEMAND THE END OF GUN VIOLENCE. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE DON’T GIVE UP. I’M MARCHING ON MARCH 24TH IN THE MARCH FOR OUR LIVES. IT WILL BE HELD IN MINERAL POINT. WI.. THERE ARE OTHER MARCHES IN WI.
    WE WON’T GIVE UP!
THE ONE ACTION THAT I BELIEVE SHOULD BE MADE IS THAT AR 14 GUNS SHOULD NOT BE SOLD.
ARMING TEACHERS OR STUDENTS WILL CAUSE MORE DEATHS.
    SINCERELY,

  7. Fantastic, dear students of the U.S. for your action…That is the way…keep going with courage and hope

  8. We all a small elderly group in New England wo meet one a month and we are very concerned about how we can help the students in general. We do pray for them and their energy to make a change in our gun laws..We cannot actively march with them but beyond the monetary method how can we help? Roger Stanley, Berlin, MA.

  9. President Trump made no signs that he would fight for gun control because the NRA payed alot to get him elected.

    1. Thanks for your update on the Sunday walk. A few of our group stood out in support of the students against gun violence. We are a small town in New England and it was outstanding to be apart of the effort. Wewill try to continue to support them in any way we can. Thank you, Roger P. Stanley, Berlin, MA.
