Pax Christi USA has joined in co-sponsoring a series of activities around September 21st, the International Day of Peace/Prayer for Peace. This year’s theme is “Who Will You Make Peace With?” and lends itself to praying for peace from international to intimate issues.
We invite you to assist with this campaign is by registering to participate in prayers around Peace Day 2013. We would like to hear from all individuals, parishes, congregations, or groups that are participating at any level, through asking them to register on the main campaign site, www.PeaceDayPray.org.
You can participate simply by including special prayers for peace in your Sunday morning services on the 22nd, or by holding something more elaborate (a peace pole dedication, community prayer event, etc.) anytime during the following week. Your prayers might include individuals in their search for abundant life, families, workplaces, neighborhoods where you live and minister, our nation, and global brothers and sisters. Resources, stories and pics from participating groups are already on the campaign site, so check it out.
