Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved,
heartfelt compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness, and patience,
bearing with one another and forgiving one another,
if one has a grievance against another;
God has forgiven you, so must you also do.
And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.
And let the peace of Christ control your hearts,
the peace into which you were also called in one body.
And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,
as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another,
singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs
with gratitude in your hearts to God.
And whatever you do, in word or in deed,
do everything in the name of Jesus,
giving thanks to God through him.

(Colossians 3:12-17)

Today, all of us on staff at Pax Christi USA give thanks for you.

We give thanks for your prayers and your support; for all the notes of encouragement during this past year of transition; for your steadfast gospel witness in your local communities and churches; for the manner in which each of you embody the “peace of Christ” every day in your relationships–at work, in your families, in your churches, and elsewhere. We thank you for the way you challenge our world, each other and us to live more deeply, more authentically, more responsibly. We thank you for your financial support of Pax Christi USA, for the donations and contributions you make, not only from your surplus but often at personal sacrifice–now more than ever Pax Christi USA is reliant on our members to help sustain our work for peace with justice. We thank you for being part of this family, the family that is Pax Christi USA.

For all you are, and all you do, we give thanks.

Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving,

Sr. Patricia Chappell, SNDdeN, Executive Director,
and all of the staff at Pax Christi USA
